Walking back to my apartment, I passed two young women on the sidewalk. This was the snippet of conversation I overheard.
“So, what are you doing?”
“I’m an executive assistant to a life coach.”
It was the most Californian thing I’ve heard since moving to the East Coast.

In an overly funded sociology department somewhere, someone should be measuring the ratio of
Executive assistant to life coaches: life coaches to executive assistants
as a derivative influencer/predictor to the next major economic contraction.
Who has time and money for that when we can be training A.I. to be executive assistants to life coaches?
