I took a quiet route back through western Nevada. Nevada State 359 took me to a quiet crossing into California where California State 167 brought me north around Mono Lake.
I took a moment and enjoyed the stillness, pondering the distant mountains, the desert flora, and the bullet-pocked “Welcome to California” sign.
